This privacy policy notice is served by Dawn, 66 Old Compton Street, W1D 4UH London. The purpose of the policy is to explain how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information through the business and while you use this website. Distribution List is a list of Subscribers and all associated information related to our 

Subscribers including email addresses.

Controller - is the organization that determines the means and purposes of processing personal data, in this case Us. 

Processor - we are referring to the organizations that process the data on behalf of the Controller in this case Mailchimp, Clearbit and Google Analytics.

This Privacy Policy applies to Trydawn.co and the Dawn newsletters. While providing the services, and as described in more detail below, we may collect Personal Information about a Website visitor, email addresses in related to our Distribution List, or Subscriber.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the General Data Protection Act and is effective with respect to any data that we have collected, or collect from you.

 

2. Changes

Dawn reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy as we may deem necessary from time to time, or as may be required by law. Any changes are effective immediately upon notice, by posting a revised version of the Privacy Policy on the Website. You are deemed to have accepted the terms of the privacy policy on your first use of the Website following the amendments, and we therefore encourage you to review the Privacy Policy often to stay updated with the changes that may affect you. 

 

3. Information We may collect and process

3.1 Email newsletter

When you choose to join our email newsletter, the email address that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provide us with the email marketing services. You are voluntarily giving information that we process, which may include your name, email address, IP address, time, date, email provider, as well as gender, occupation and other demographic background. 

MailChimp is considered to be a third party data processor. The email address that you submit will not be stored within this Website’s own database. 

Your email address will be stored within the MailChimp database for a long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing, or until you request to be removed from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing by using the unsubscribe link contained in all email newsletters on the bottom of the page. When requesting removal using your email, please send the request from the email account that is subscribed to the Distribution List. 

While your email address is stored within the MailChimp database, you will receive a weekly newsletter emails from us. 

We collect information that helps us improve our newsletters. To do this, Mailchimp include web beacons in the emails we send, which allow us to access information such as when you open the email, your IP address, your browser, email service provider, and other similar details. The web beacons also create reports about how our email campaigns perform and what actions our Subscribers take. We collect this data on the basis of legitimate interests, as it allows us to assess the performance of each email campaign based on the data points you and other Subscribers create.

 

3.2 Forward to a friend

If a Subscriber chooses to use the ‘forward to a friend’ links in a newsletter, it will allow the Subscriber to share our email content with individuals not on our Distribution List. When a Subscriber forwards an email to a friend, we do not register nor process the Subscriber friend’s email address and no one is added to the Distribution List as a result of this. 

3.3 Website

We automatically collect some information about your visit to the Website. This information helps us to make  improvements to the Website content and navigations. The information may include IP address, the date, times, frequency, browser ID, browsing activity, and other information about how you interacted with our Website. 

3.4 Cookies and tracking

We use cookies on this Website to provide you with a better user experience. We use a cookie control system which allows you to accept the use of cookies. 

Through our Processors we use various technologies to collect, store and process information when you use our Website, and this may include using cookies and similar technologies to analyze trends, track users’ movements, administer the Website and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. This privacy policy does not extend to your use of such websites. You are advised to read the privacy policy of other websites prior to using them.

6. Notice of Breach of Security

If a security breach causes an unauthorized intrusion into Mailchimp’s system that materially affects you or people on our Distribution Lists, we will be in touch with you as soon as we are notified by Mailchimp of such event.

7. Accuracy and Retention of Data

If your data changes (for example, if you have a new email address), then you are responsible for notifying us of those changes. Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold, or process on behalf of a third party, any of your Personal Information. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide you with our Services.

8. Access

We will disclose to our Subscribers access to any Personal Information we hold about them within 30 days of any request for that information. Individuals may request to access, correct, amend or delete information we hold about them by contacting us. There is no charge for an individual to access or update their Personal Information.
